Office-hotel chain opens new site in Copenhagen Science City

Woods Office Titanhus is a multi-user office space in Copenhagen Science City. Close to world leading experts in quantum science, Artificial Intelligence, Life Science and nano science.

For the past several years, demand for office space has outstripped supply in the innovation district Copenhagen Science City. Now, the office specialists Woods Office are renting out almost 20,000 additional square meters in the newly renovated Titanhus building in the Haraldsgade neighbourhood. By Jes Andersen.

Co-location opportunities for deep tech start-ups

The opening is a major step up for the availability of commercial space in the district. Deep tech start-ups have had trouble finding offices close to researchers at University of Copenhagen, university hospital Rigshospitalet and university college Københavns Professionshøjskole. Woods Office are delighted to fill that gap with their new location “Titanhus”.

With our new Titanhus location we are proud to be a part of Copenhagen Science City. We believe that the nearness to scientific institutions can be very valuable to our tenants, and we hope to see start-ups as well as established businesses here”: Ninna Therkelsen Head of Letting, Woods Office DK

Massive growth in early stage companies

In Copenhagen Science City, university, hospital and college collaborate with City of Copenhagen and other partners to create optimal conditions for innovation intensive companies. In less than ten years the number of start-ups and SMVs in the district has grown from 300 to more than 500.

Copenhagen Science City has a strong position in several fields including life science, quantum technology and Artificial Intelligence. We expect to see rising numbers of start-ups in these and other deep-tech fields and welcome Woods Office and the office spaces they provide”: Kristoffer Klebak, Head of Secretariat, Copenhagen Science City.

Major refurbishment

The commercial property Titanhus was bought by the development company NREP in late 2019. At the time it was home to a small start-up community. Now, after three years and a major refurbishment in the tried and tested Woods Office style, the house is modern, welcoming and full of light.

Covers all needs

Woods Office provides full-service office space with a health focused eatery, café, meeting facilities, sustainable cleaning and Damn Good Coffee, IT and even furnishing, all hosted by a welcoming office manager. Tenants can choose from spaces ranging from single or multiple desks, suites or a large office up to 1.143 sqm

A neighbourhood on the rise

The neighbourhood Haraldsgade is currently undergoing major urban renewal by City of Copenhagen. Until the 1960’s it was home to some of the largest industrial employers in Copenhagen, then transformed into low-income housing for almost 10,000 inhabitants. Until 2026, the quarter will see some 16 urban renewal projects ordered under four themes: Connectivity, greening, culture and education.
