New leader for Science City-partner
University College Copenhagen – Københavns Professionshøjskole – welcomed a new Rector on January 1st, 2024. Rector Anne Vang Rasmussen comes from a position as a director in Ballerup Municipality where she had responsibility for the children and culture-administration. Her main task in the new position is to help develop KP and strengthen the relevance of professional education in society.
Management experience and political savvy
Københavns Professionshøjskole is a founding partner in Copenhagen Science City where the colleges’ educational programmes within health and care are located. According to the college’s chairman, Rasmussen has extensive experience in managing large operating organisations, knowledge of education and experience in participating in and influencing the political debate.

Former Mayor in Copenhagen
Anne Vang Rasmussen has previously been director of the educational institution Niels Brock, children and youth mayor for City of Copenhagen and held many different board positions. Among other things. she has been chairman of the Children’s and Culture Chiefs’ Association.
