Innovation district provides new and web-based promotion tool to stakeholders
The good news about Copenhagen Science City is that it houses an abundance of various opportunities. The bad news is, that its opportunities are almost too plentiful to keep track of. Now Copenhagen Science City invites all stakeholders to adopt a new interactive map that identifies the many value propositions of the innovation district. By Jes Andersen.
Easy explanation of innovation district features
For those who need to explain what the innovation district is, and can do, the profusion of features is a mixed blessing. The aim of the interactive map is to help explain what Copenhagen Science City contains. Like most on-line maps, it is peppered with points of interest. Unlike other interactive maps it features only what is relevant to companies and talents who are in Copenhagen Science City, or thinking about moving here.
Free for all
Copenhagen Science City invites all stakeholders to feature the new map on their local homepage. The map is free of charge and the secretariat of Copenhagen Science City will undertake continous updates.
Four themes ease the navigation.
- Provides an overview of scientific institutions, start-up communities and commercial tenancies and of key figures such as the number of staff and students or companies at each.
- Visualises key support organisations for commercialisation such as makerspaces and accelerator programmes.
- Features transport infrastructure including present and future Metro stations, bicycle super-highways and parking opportunities
- Outlines so-called soft qualities, such as parks, schools, housing and restaurants.
Non-partners can use it too
The map is made available free of charge. Institutions and companies do not have to be partners in Copenhagen Science City to use it. Anyone who is located in or near the innovation district, or who feels that the features of Copenhagen Science City might be interesting to clients, collaborators or visitors, are welcome to feature the map on their own website.
