Christina Smolke is an American synthetic biologist researching the use of yeast to produce opioids for medical use. She is a Full Professor of Bioengineering and Chemical Engineering at Stanford University. She is also the Co-founder and CEO of the biotech company Antheia, which develops plant-inspired medicines.
