To meet massive demand, the private innovation community and education institution SingularityU Denmark is now expanding into three other Nordic countries and changing its name to SingularityU Nordic.

Since opening in March 2017 the Copenhagen Science City-based institution has undergone a development that is as exponential as the development of the technologies it teaches.

“In the only 11 months we have existed, we have doubled the number of employees twice to meet the demand. Especially our talent program, executive program and our tailor-made courses for companies have been very well received. We are also experiencing a high demand for these programmes from Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia “says CEO of SingularityU Nordic, Laila Pawlak.

The organization expands to Sweden, Norway and Finland under the new name.

Expansion to Nordics is logical

The Nordic countries have a lot in common, and according to Laila Pawlak, the expansion was not a hard decision to make.
“We want to help educate and inspire the whole of the Nordic region to embrace technology and digital solutions so that we as a region are geared to the future. The technological acceleration is a global challenge, but it also has huge potentials. We all have an interest in the Nordic countries being strong in this area. Continued education is an essential part of the solution, and we are therefore pleased with the great interest in our work,” says Laila Pawlak.

Headquarters strengthened in Copenhagen

SingularityU Nordic keeps – and expands – its base at Titangade in Copenhagen after the Nordic launch. The head office is part of the innovation district Copenhagen Science City, where 34,000 researchers and students at a university, a university college and a university hospital are all within walking distance.
It is from this venue that the private education institution operates its education programs and courses in, among other things, blockchain, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, future medicine and digital biology.
Following the expansion, the SingularityU Nordic headquarters will consist of a 7,000 m2 innovation centre and campus area, where promising start-ups and established companies can develop and realize innovative business ideas in technology and digitization. The expansion allows room for more companies to move in.

Collaborates with some of the country’s largest companies

In addition to Danske Bank and Telia, who have been partners since the founding of SingularityU Denmark, a number of other Danish companies have also entered into partnership with SingularityU Nordic since its launch. This applies, for example, to Copenhagen Airports, Nets, Nordic Capital, Topdanmark and most recently TDC.
Pernille Erenbjerg, CEO of TDC Group, says about the new partnership with SingularityU Nordic:
