Students and researchers from the Metropolitan University College laboratory technician programme have been brought in to further develop robots for an ambitious start-up company.

Metropolitan University College’s expertise in microbiology is at the heart of a new collaboration between students and researchers from the college’s laboratory technician programme and the successful Danish start-up company, Infuser, both of which are based in Copenhagen Science City.

The collaboration will help the ambitious company further develop its STERISAFE™ robot technology in an attempt to create bacteria-free environments.

“This project takes the best people from both teams to develop STERISAFE™ technology and its applications. The result will benefit both parties – not least the students who will learn from the experiences gathered during the project,” says Lars Holm Rasmussen, PhD in environmental chemistry and senior associate lecturer in the laboratory technician programme.
