Universities and hospitals are a wellspring of invention. This summer, investors, business scouts and entrepreneurs have an opportunity to find intellectual property and meet potential collaborators from universities and hospitals throughout the Nordic region.
Unique venue for Nordic ingenuity
On September 21, 2021 the Nordic Innovation Fair will showcase up to 120 of the best early-stage business opportunities based on innovative Nordic public-sector research. Universities and university hospitals from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland will present their best ideas at the eFair. The Confederation of Danish Industry will host the event at their headquarters in the Danish capital Copenhagen.
A patent for every taste
Copenhagen Science City-partners University of Copenhagen and the university hospital Rigshospitalet expect to join with 20 to 25 inventions. Some of these are available for licensing; others are spinouts looking for investors. The business opportunities fall in five categories.
Digitalisation, AI & Robotics
Advanced Production & Technologies
Biotech & Pharma
Medtech & Diagnostics
Networking as well as business
Thanks to its combined business fair and congress format, the Nordic Innovation Fair offers easy access to the newest Nordic research-based business opportunities. It is also the ideal place to network with the teams behind the business opportunities.
Public presentations and private talks
The Nordic Innovation Fair stands on the shoulders of four years of purely Danish innovation fairs. Based on experience from these previous events, the organizers expect the 2021 event to generate about 4000 new contacts. The Nordic Innovation Fair facilitates matchmaking through pitching of cases and pre-booked 1:1 meetings.
On the day of the event, all business opportunities will be presented on posters. A selection of up to 24 spinouts and pending spinouts will pitch their ideas to all participants. The fair will kick-start with a networking dinner for specially invited guests.
