Anyone involved in attracting highly educated staff, research-intensive companies and high tech investments knows it. You need strong arguments in order to be successful. For those working to attract students, staff and collaborators to institutions in the innovation district, the Copenhagen Science City secretariat has developed a new collection of slides.
The complete story… Or pieces of it
Full to the brim with information about the geography, the people, the research strengths and the liveability of the innovation district, the slides can be used together or individually.
Companies can be confident of finding the co-creators they need. Within the 800 meter radius of the district, 40,000 researchers, students and staff go to work every day to improve our knowledge and practice of science, health and care. Three institutions for research and education provide the framework for truly world-class science.
Several launch-pads for private careers
Talents and experts can expect to launch or boost their career without having to move very far. 350 innovative companies have chosen to co-locate in one of the areas 7 start-up communities or one of several office hotels and commercial tenancies. For the same reason, finding companies to support is straightforward for investors.
A single door for investors
New ideas, inventions and technologies are also easily available. A “One Point Access” to intellectual property from the University of Copenhagen and the University Hospital Rigshospitalet takes most of the effort out of licencing one of their upwards of 100 patents every year.
Attracted by urban qualities
Liveability is a cornerstone in Copenhagen Science City. The right urban qualities attract and retain the best minds from all over the world. Nobody wants to squander their lives in a secluded science park. Copenhagen Science City offers international schools and kindergartens, parks and popular nightspots, housing and shopping. All within the district or within walking distance of it.
