Video: Chinese genetics research centre chooses Copenhagen Science City

BGI chose to settle down in Copenhagen Science City as it is known to their Nordic Director as the Silicon Valley of Biology in Denmark

A few years ago, Chinese genetics corporation BGI launched its European research-center at the Copenhagen Bio Science Park, COBIS, in Copenhagen Science City. Their mission is partnering with researchers and scientists, contributing to the advancement of innovative biology research, molecular breeding and healthcare.

This is a biological harbour. We all know that Sweden and Copenhagen cooperate, and have had this magical valley for more than 20 years, so the environment is pretty good.

Ruigi Xu, Nordic Regional Director, BGI Europe

BGI Europe appreciate COBIS’ help when it comes to dealing with language barriers and the Danish authorities, and they are looking forward to more international companies joining them.

We are looking forward to having more international companies in the Bio Science Park and join the family to be a part of the Silicon Valley of biology in Denmark.
